This week on the blog we will be featuring our moms for Mother's Day!
Here's what Stephanie Brannigan had to say about being a mom:
Favorite memory as a mom:
My favourite memory of being a mother, other than the first moment I saw and held my daughter, would have to be Christmas morning this past year. It was Mckenna's 1st Christmas, and we had everything set up, and family members over to see her celebrate. We went and woke her up at 930 am (which is way before her normal wake up time, this kid sleeps till noon!) and she wanted no part in what was happening. Her 1st Christmas picture is her all groggy eyed and sleepy. She was still so tired and ready to go back to bed, it was absolutely adorable. Took her a good hour to rip through (with assistance) all of her gifts. Other than that, the 1st time she hugged and kissed me!!
Favorite thing about being a mom:
My favourite thing about being a mom, is waking up to her smiling face every morning, and hearing her contagious laughing everyday. She has the funniest laugh and most infectious smile, that you can't help but smile and laugh back at her. It's the best sound in the world to hear.
Best lesson being a mother ever taught you:
Patience. Patience in everything you do. Things take time, and sometimes the most stressful situation, you just need to step back, take a deep breath and be patient.
Something you would like to tell your children:
Always follow your dreams, and don't let anyone put you second to anyone or anything. You are a shining star, with an amazing light inside of you. Don't ever let it go out, and I love you.
